| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: practical, creative, and structured. The three careers that match my style are: electrician, airplane assembler, and aircraft mechanic. From this information I have decided to explore becoming an electrician. I selected this job because I enjoy electronics and working with people. One of my daily activities as a electrician would be to connect circuits, diagnose malfunctions, and inspect electrical systems. I also have to use a variety of tools. To work as an electrician, I need a post-secondary certificate. I must be good at critical thinking and active listening in order to become a well trained electrician. In the United States, the average salary for a electrician is $28,160.00 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $29, 639.89. In the United States by the year 2016 employment for a electrician is expected to increase by 7.4%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016 it is expected to increase by 8.5%.
